Who is Indigo Design?
Indigo Design is owned and operated by Lorraine Viola McGill and is based in the beautiful city of Gainesville, Florida. Prior to officially starting Indigo Design, Lorraine held several positions that helped shape her experience. She worked in a small advertising agency, a printing company and a publishing company. She provided pro-bono design for several non-profit organizations such as the United Way and American Heart Association. She also took on small paying projects as a freelancer while working her full-time job.
MAKING THE TRANSITION
With the encouragement of her family and close friends, Lorraine announced the launch of Indigo Design at a Gainesville Chapter Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) meeting in February of 1998. Leaving the security of a full-time job was a little scary but through hard work and dedication, Indigo Design has been flourishing ever since.
RECOGNITION
Lorraine made connections with many of her current clients through FPRA and credits that network for her continued success. She was honored with their Member of the Year award both on the local and statewide levels. She served on the board of directors for several years, chaired their Image Awards committee and has created collateral materials for their Annual Conference and Golden Image Awards.
Indigo Design has received several local Advertising Federation "Addy" Awards as well as recognition through client submissions in local and state FPRA Image Award and Golden Image Awards.
MOVING FORWARD
Currently, Indigo Design has been expanding its level of services to include interactive formats, electronic and social media. "There is always something new to learn," says Lorraine. "And I'm excited to be able to provide new services to my clients."

I'm a Bronx Girl
Even though I grew up in Dania, Florida, I'm proud to hail from The Bronx. I have fond memories of my childhood in Pelham Bay. My family moved to southern Florida in 1978.
I'm a TV star
Well, kind of. I did a Burger King commercial in 1979 with Snuffy the Fire Engine for fire safety week. We didn't even own a VCR back then so if you happen to have any BK connections... let me know!
I ♥ NY
On Valentine's Day 2002, I was married on top of the Empire State Building in New York City. There are several foreign tourists with pictures of us in their photo albums!
