Wow! 2014 went by in a flash! I was so happy to celebrate Indigo Design's Sweet 16 with all of you. I gave away $1000 in prizes and many of you also joined me for the pizza party finale at Satchel's. I consider it a massive success -- just because everyone had so much fun! When you set a very simple goal like that, you're almost guaranteed success! Below are some pics that were posted for our "Selfie" contest.
I spent quite a bit of time in 2014 helping RTI Biologics transition to RTI Surgical after acquiring Pioneer Surgical. As you can imagine, changing the name of a publicly-held company requires a massive amount of rebranding of collateral material. I also continued to support the incredibly talented team at Exactech and assist in the redesign of their 2015 medical education program materials. It was fun! It was also exciting to build a new relationship with the wonderful communications team at UF Health. Among a few other projects, I designed their Hospitality Guide and companion workbook. Every employee at UF Health will at some point handle this guide! That's pretty amazing, in my opinion.
Of course, so many other great clients filled in the gaps and kept me very busy! However, I still managed to squeeze in an incredibly informative digital publishing and design conference in Chicago in June. Talk about information overload! The world of design and digital publishing is exploading and I'm very interested in doing more with it. I've also purchased a brand-spanking new Macbook Pro (after my last one took an unfortunate spill) so I'm both zippy and mobile.
But 2014 wasn't all work and no play. I spent a week in one of my favorite places to relax: Negril, Jamiaca, had a fun (and exhausting) time eating great food and drinking a tad too much in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and topped it off with the most amazing girls' trip to Italy in August. I don't have much planned yet for 2015 but definitely want to travel even more!
